The sound of the crickets at my Mom's house on Maple Hill Drive in the Hudson Valley of New York.
I visited in October, during the peak of leaves changing brilliant colors and falling to crunchy piles rustling in the wind. In the evening after a long weekend of apple picking (and wine tasting) it was still light enough to step outside to trim my fingernails over the railing on the back deck, and still warm enough to hear bird song. This is a sound meditation to that moment, and the song that playfully harmonizes in concert with the crickets.
